good with kids? |
Yes |
was this dog rescued? |
Yes. Wraith, our lovable
2-year-old Wolf/Lab hybrid was abused by several people for
the first 8 months of her life. When we managed to claim
her (her owners were threatening to dump her in the middle
of no-where if we didn't take her) she was afraid of everything.
Any movement, they didn't have to be sudden, and she'd dart
of with her tail tucked between her legs. But we were patient,
and within a few months we had an odd little mutt, that knew
few strangers. She's never bitten, and we thought she was
mute 'till we heard her 'talking'... that is- sort of half-way
howling noises. She's a wonderful dog and I would encourage
anyone to rescue a dog, if they love animals (or at least
dogs) and feel up to the challenge of helping them. |
