size of a labrador boxer mixed breed dog
group: mixed breed
height: 20" / 50.80 cm

weight: 34 lbs / 15.42 kg
name: Kindred sex: female
colors: black and white
physical traits: beautiful amber eyes, small head (she is still growing!), beautiful white markings on feet, chest, mask, forehead and back of neck, long, thin legs, about 35 pounds at this point
breed mixes: Boxer Labrador
hair type: short, dense
personality/
temperament:
Kindred is THE most loving dog I have ever had, and I have had 4 dogs since childhood. she is very playful and high-energied, and also very shy. she prefers to be submissive and loves when other dogs "chase" her (as well as humans!), very quiet, she rarely "talks" unless she is being protective of her family (hearing sounds outside, seeing a stranger walking from a distance)
maintenance/
special needs:
VERY low maintenance...but Kindred needs her exercise...she is also, it seems, is a budding swimmer. our family will be taking her to a local lake very soon so she can express her new-found curiosity and love of the water. just wants lots of love and affection!
nicknames:
KJ (for Kindred Joy),; Kinney, KinKin, Baby
identifying traits: very unusual facial/neck markings
birthday (if known): December 2006
favorite friends: she just loves her entire family, and enjoyed sporting with the puppies in her beginners class this past Spring
favorite activities: Kindred absolutely loves to run...we take her out on a yellow, 50-ft. lead to let her have some free roam as often as we can...she also loves to play "tag" and be chased.
favorite foods: she loves Nature's Best - vet prescribed for her once sensitive stomach
favorite attire: her own skin! :)
good with kids? I hope as she gets older she will be less cautious and shy with people, kids included...she hasn't one aggressive bone in her body, she just has a very timid personality and likes to feel comfortable and have someone "approach" HER before she feels at ease
was this dog rescued? Kindred is the second dog I have had that was rescued, and there is NO reason anyone should be gun-shy about saving a dog. they are innocent, naturally loving animals that just want to be loved, cared for, appreciated and attended to--much like we humans do. although some rescue dogs have been through heartbreaking situations (abuse, abandonment, injury, unattended to), with new, committed, loving owners, most of these dogs will grow and develop into amazingly well-adjusted, happy beings...they are resilient, just give them a chance!
